1 Grammar as a science treats of the laws of linguistic usage and gives the
underlying principles of language. Grammar examines language from its smallest
parts up to its most complex organization. Grammar classifies words into all sorts
of categories and states the peculiarities of each category.
Linguistics is surely no exception (исключение). Modern scientific stydy has
provided us with new assumptions (предположение, самонадленность) and views
of language, with new methods of linguistic analysis. The new methods of
linguistic investigation aiming at a more exact study of language have been
receiving ever greater attention.
